Philip Christian Gewehr

CONCORD-Philip Christian Gewehr, age 66, of Concord, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016. Phillip was born in Plainville, NJ on August 10, 1949. He graduated from Concord High School and received his civil engineering degree from Norwich University. He was a master plumber and master electrician as well as an old house restoration expert. He was also an avid sailor and boater, skier, sky diver, cliff diver, scuba diver, lawn care expert, bonfire extraordinaire, grill master, fireworks enthusiast and rare book collector. Above and beyond all, he had a true gift for storytelling even if he kept a loose relationship with the facts, like any master storyteller.

Philip was a devoted father and best friend to Emily Monagle (Gewehr). Long-time love and partner of Beth Perry. Loving father-in-law to Michael Monagle and proud papa to Ella and Cameron. Loving son of the late Arthur Gewehr and Frances Gewehr. Loving brother of Suzanne Gewehr and the late Richard Gewehr. Loving Uncle to Aubrey, Sume and Tammy Gewehr. Loving Great Uncle to River, Aiden, Ella Rose and Hazel. Best friend of Moron (aka. Doug Nydegger) and beloved member of the Monagle family (Rick, Barbara, Ricky, Jimmy, Kim, Junior and Quinn). Also survived by many loving cousins and many, many longtime friends.

I'm so very, very lucky to have had you as my best friend, role model and biggest supporter all these years and can't thank you enough for all of the invaluable advice you've given me. You'll always be with us in spirit, especially when we're "on lake time". You'll be missed beyond measure.
