

He was the beloved husband of Beverly Joan (Weeks) Massey. Born in Concord, New Hampshire, Richard was the son of the late Philip J. and Ellen (Chase) Massey.
Richard worked for many years as a truck driver for New Hampshire Distributors, where he was known for his strong work ethic and friendly nature.
A devoted husband and family man, Richard loved wholeheartedly. He was always grateful, always smiling, and never far from a story or a joke — even if it was a little off color. He had a natural way of making people laugh and feel at ease.
A talented athlete, Richard played softball and baseball well into his 50s and refereed basketball for many years. He also coached Little League baseball, where he found great joy in teaching kids not just how to play the game, but how to love it. He was a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox and rarely missed a chance to watch a game.
Richard had a sweet tooth and a fondness for life’s simple pleasures, especially malted milk balls, whoopie pies, and Snickers bars.
Above all, Richard will be remembered for his warmth, his humor, and the deep love he had for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, and unforgettable stories.

daughter Rhonda Marie (Boone) Condon and husband John Condon of Springfield, NH, son Richard Melvin Boone of Concord, NH
Along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service with military honors will be held Thursday, May 7, 2026 at the New Hampshire Veteran's Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.
