Bob was born July 07, 1966 and grew up in White River Junction, VT. He graduated in 1984 from Hartford High School and went on to attend Hobart College obtaining a degree in Biology. Bob was kind, loving and compassionate and always had time to help others in need. He was known as the doctor that every nurse wanted to work with because of his patience and kindness. His good humor and smile could light up a room. He was especially grateful for his good friends. Especially his friend Jim, who spent endless hours with Bob giving him the quality and dignity that he so deserved during his last year of life.
He is survived by his best friend and the love of his life, Karen Cimis and his beloved son, Kyle Cimis; his stepsons, Michael Cram, Mathew Cram and Ryan Cram; his grandson Nicholas Cram; his mother, Sheila Cimis; his brothers, Andrew Cimis and his wife Michelle, Michael Cimis and his wife Crista; numerous nieces and nephews; and his golden retriever “Buddie”. He is predeceased by his father Dr. Robert Cimis Sr.
Bob considered his son, Kyle, his greatest accomplishment in life. The two spent many hours prior to his illness playing basketball, skiing, and fishing together. Bob loved the outdoors, home projects, and traveling with his family. He also loved karaoke, especially James Brown, Bob Marley, and Dave Matthews. It was often said that his James Brown karaoke impression was the highlight of any party.
In lieu of flowers or donations, Bob would want you to cherish your family and make the most of every minute you have together.
Bob requested that there be no services and his family be able to grieve with privacy during this difficult time.
