

Ronald F. Sinclair, Age 85, of Epsom, N.H., passed away peacefully on January 13, 2025, at the New Hampshire Veterans Home. He was born in Wolfeboro on August 8, 1939, to Frank W. and Alfreda (Champagne) Sinclair.
He was educated at the Carpenter School and graduated from Brewster Free Academy in 1957. During his younger years, he was a member of the boy scouts and also an alter boy for St. Cecelia’s Church in Wolfeboro. During his senior year, he joined the N.H. National Guard, but prior to graduating he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he proudly served from 1957 to 1963; and received honorable discharges from both branches of service. He was a lifelong resident of New Hampshire.
In 1963, Ronald joined the Concord Police Department and promoted to the detective division within a few short years. In 1972, he received an honorary award for the “outstanding young policeman” of the year. He resigned from the Concord P.D. in 1976 and transferred to the Bow, NH Police Department, where he was promoted to the rank of sergeant shortly thereafter. In 1979, he resigned from the Bow, P.D. and joined the N.H. Supreme Court as a court security officer/bailiff in 1980 and held that position until his retirement in 2002.
His interests included hunting, fishing, trapping and hiking in the woods to enjoy nature in its own environment. He was also a dedicated blood donor for the American Red Cross and in 55 plus years of donations, he gave a total of 32 gallons. He was very proud of this achievement.
Ronald was a life member of the Granite State Detachment of the Marine Corps League, The Second Marine Division. The Marine Corps Association, the N.R.A., The North American Hunting Club, G.O./N.H. and the V.F.W. (post #1631) in Concord, N.H.
Ronald was predeceased by his wife Nelli (Quimby) Sinclair, of Epsom and several cousins. As per his wishes, there will be no calling hours. He will be cremated, and private services will be held at a future date. In Lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory be made to the American Red Cross, NH headquarters at 2 Maitland St. Concord, NH 03301 or to your favorite charity in his name.
Burial will take place at the Contoocook Village Cemetery for the convenience of family members and close friends. The Bennett Funeral Home in Concord, NH is assisting the family with arrangements.
