

Ruth Maria Torres, age 86, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on February 20, 1940 in Camuy, Puerto Rico, Ruth lived a life defined by devotion, strength, and an unwavering commitment to those she loved. She is preceded in death by her 13 siblings and her beloved parents.
Ruth was the devoted wife of 67 years to her husband, Audeliz De Jesus Torres, with whom she built a beautiful life centered on family, faith, resilience, and enduring love. Together, they created a legacy that will continue for generations.
She was a cherished mother to Jorge Luis Torres and his wife Jeannette, Moises Torres and his wife Donna; Janet Maher-Cote and her husband Paul; and Marisol Ciccone. Ruth’s family was her greatest pride, and she poured her heart into raising and supporting each of her children.
She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Jeffrey Vigue, Jennifer Plummer and her husband Dale; Mikael King Sr. and his wife Rachel, Jason Torres and his wife Casi; Matthew Torres and his wife Kana; Alaina Andreoni and her husband Kyle; Hanna Cote; Kyle Maher; Lizzie Hastings and her husband Tripp; Reid Cote; Jackson Cote; Isabella Ciccone; Ava Cote; Juliana Ciccone; Gabriella Ciccone; Rocco Ciccone; and Genesis Torres. Her love extended even further to her cherished great-grandchildren: Brianna, Caleb, Mikael Jr., Mikayla Shanice, Landon, Wyatt, Reagan, Naomi, Parker, Ben, Maddox, Nina, Lauren and Jordan and her great-great grandchild Elijah, each of whom brought her immense joy.
She is also remembered by her numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart and were treasured as members of her extended family.
Ruth was the matriarch of her family—strong, spirited, and full of life. She was known for her warmth, her humor, and the deep love she shared with her husband and family. Her presence was a constant source of comfort and strength, and her legacy will live on in the countless memories she created with those she loved.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main Street, Concord. Funeral will be Friday, May 8, 2026 in the Bennett Funeral Home at 11:00 am followed by burial in Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord.
