Wayne Lawrence Petrovek

Wayne was a Career educator, coach, president of the Pittsfield teachers union, concord country club board member, Norwood sports legend and Umass hall of fame inductee with the 1965 hockey team.

He loved a good book, Indiana jones, a cold beer, his family, friends, and a beautiful sunset.

Most of all, his proudest moments were spent providing unwavering guidance to his grandchildren Bailey and Myles who will, no doubt, one day confirm his wisdom.

He fought the good fight. He finished the race. He kept the faith.

Wayne is survived by his wife; Susan Petrovek (Upham) his children; Caity Wayne Carter, Matthew George Petrovek. His brothers; Kevin and Brian Petrovek, Grandchildren; Bailey and Myles, Mother in law; Beverly Upham, In laws; Mark and Charlotte Upham, Michael and Kelly Upham, Nephew; Harry Upham and Nieces; Hannah and Maggie Upham. Predeceased by; his parents and George Upham.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday March 6, 2024 at the Bennett Funeral Home from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Followed immediately by a funeral service officiated by David Richardson.
