Brenda Isenhour Purkey

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth, Cecil, Marshall, Gary, and J.D. Isenhour; sister, Betty Howie; and grandson, Cody.

Brenda was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She worked at Regency Bedspread for many years. After her retirement from Regency Bedspread, she worked for Catawba County schools and retired from there in 2023. Brenda loved serving the children in the schools. She also enjoyed camping, going to the beach on family vacations, and she cherished her dogs Shasta and Sabrina.

Those left to cherish Brenda’s memory are her daughters, Teresa Hedrick and spouse Eric, Jacqueline Howard and spouse John; son, Charles Stokes; grandchildren, Ryan, Brandon, Charlie, Jackson; great grandchildren, Ryan, Shelby, Savannah, Austin, Anthony, Avery Ann, Jayden, Parker, and Zeppelin.

A Funeral Service to celebrate Brenda’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Glory Land Baptist Church, 3925 King Wilkinson Rd., Lincolnton, NC. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
