

Born in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Thomas Williamson Sr. and Christine Rippy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Thomas Williamson and Paul Williamson; and a sister, Marsha Williamson Gaither.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Judy Williamson of Mocksville; special friend, Freda Byrd of Newton; sons, Tracy Farley of Newton, Trenton Williamson of Hickory; daughter, Charity Carson of Hickory; brothers, Fred Conner or Hickory, Allen Williamson and wife Priscilla of Hickory, Paul Williamson of Hickory; sisters, Brenda Douglas and husband Charles of Hickory, Betty Hoover and husband Paul of Hickory, Shirley Connelly and husband Howard of Drexel; brother-in-laws, Robert Dalton, Johnny Dalton and wife Estella, Jimmy Dalton and wife Audrey, Renard Dalton and wife Diane, William Dalton and wife Brenda; sisters-in-law Dorothy Lackey, Sally Morrison, Martha Clement, Marcella James and husband William, Mary Campbell and husband Reverend Ray Campbell; grandchildren, Mekailyn Farley, Zellyn Williamson.
Calvin worked as a construction worker for various industrial and commercial projects.
Calvin loved the outdoors. If he had the time he would love to take a day and spend it fishing. He also loved gardening and was known for his skill at growing cucumbers. In his younger years, Calvin competed in various rodeo events.
Calvin’s family and friends fondly recall his love of jokes & puns. One of his trademark joke questions was, "How are you feeling today?" whatever the answer was, Calvin would respond with a big smile and say, "You feel with your hands!"
A funeral service for Calvin Williamson will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday Aug. 29, at the Drum-Conover Funeral Home Chapel, 509 1 Ave S Conover NC 28613 with Pastor Joe Shufford officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at the Drum-Conover Funeral Home Chapel.
