Charles Edward Douglas

Charles is reuniting with his father and mother; sisters, Gordina Douglas and Katrina Craig; brothers, Qulon Douglas, Jr. and Maurice Colstom and daughter, D'hana Douglas.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Charles goal was to insure his wife and children were well taken care of. They always knew that they were loved and important to him.

Charles favorite response to everything and every one was Yabba dabba doo!

He leaves those to cherish their fond memories are; wife, Brenda Douglas of the home; son, Cheraw Williamson (Khadijah) of Maiden; three daughters, Chrissa Douglas of Hickory, Nakita Douglas of Lynchburg, VA. and Char-Lay Douglas(Christina Douglas) of Kernersville. Four grandchildren, Ashlen Douglas(Eva Douglas) of Binghamton, NY, Derick Douglas of Binghamton,NY, Timothy Francis of Binghamton, NY and Nazeeah Bryant of Lynchburg, VA. Two great-grandchildren, Ashlen Douglas, Jr. and Aleah Douglas of Binghamton, NY. Sister, Katherine Douglas of Hickory; Brother-in-law, Fred Williamson of Taylorsville, Vincent Kienle and Scott Wolf of Hickory, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service to honor and celebrate his life will be at 2:00pm, Tuesday, March 3 at One80 Church, 203 1st Ave. SE, Hickory. Receiving will be at 1:00pm prior to the service at the church.

There will be a military burial to honor his years of service on Wednesday, March 4th at Salisbury Veteran Cemetery Annex, 501 Statesville Rd, Salisbury, NC. Charles retired with 25 years in the Army/Army National Guard.
