Clarice Ann Ward

Clarice Ann Ward, 57, of Connelly Springs, North Carolina, passed away on March 22, 2026. Born January 22, 1969, to James Arthur Richards and Roma Lee Wright Richards, Clarice was a beloved and cherished woman whose kind-hearted, loyal, and selfless nature touched all who knew her. Outspoken and deeply devoted to her family, Clarice was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. During her final days in her cancer battle, her faith grew closer to God, offering strength and comfort as she faced her journey with grace.

She was preceded in death by her brother, James Richards II.

In addition to her parents, those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 38 years, Robert Ward; son, Christopher Ward; daughter, Ashley Slocum and husband Brandon; sisters, Marie Last, Regina London and husband Michael, Melissa Cole and husband Tommy; and grandchildren, Madison Ward, Bailey Hasenauer, and Oaklynn Slocum; and a number of extended family.

Receiving of friends will be held at 10am, Friday, March 27, 2026 prior to the service.

A funeral service will be held at Drum Funeral Home Chapel at 11 am, Friday, March 27, 2026, with Pastor Johnny Griffin and Pastor Randall Hines officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
