David "Dave" Beryl Beard Jr.

David “Dave” B. Beard, Jr. age 49, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. He was met by Jesus and his wife, Rebekah through the beautiful sunrise. His pain and anguish were replaced with joy and thanksgiving.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebekah.

Dave is survived by his daughter, Taylor, age 14, who he loved dearly; his mother, Carol Robinson (Kip); his father, David Beard, Sr. (Sherry); brother Greg (Katie); sister, Angela; nieces, Abriana and Ellie who loved their uncle Dave. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wayne and Lynn Craig who loved him as a son.

Dave was a kind and generous person, who would do anything for you. He had a smile that would light up the room. Dave loved sports and his mind was full of sports trivia. He could answer any question you asked about any type of sport. He was an avid UNC Tar Heel and Atlanta Braves fan, and he had many hats to prove it.

Dave will be greatly missed, and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11am to 11:45am at Miller’s Lutheran Church, 2280 12th Ave NE, Hickory, NC.

A Celebration of Life honoring Dave’s memory will be held at 12pm on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Miller’s Lutheran Church with Reverend Todd Cook officiating.
