Erceldene Eleanor Bowers Ballard

Erceldene Eleanor Bowers Ballard , age 84 of Conover, NC, passed away on January 18, 2014 at Brian Center in Viewmont. Born March 4, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Gene Bowers and Viola May Collins Bowers. Erceldene was a member of First Baptist Church in Claremont and dedicated her life to making a home for her family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by her husband, Coley Lee Ballard; a son, Gregory John Beattie, and sisters, Phyllis Nichols, Marion King, Roberta Cook.

Survivors include her daughter, Jean Elizabeth Trahan and husband, Mike, of Owsso, MI; sons, Steven Mark Beattie and wife, Sue, of Laquey, MO, Melvin Lee Ballard and wife, Jackie, of Owsso, MI, Coley James Ballard of Conover, Dennis Allen Ballard and wife, Cheri, of Conover, NC; sister, Joeline Brogan of Florida; grandchildren, Steven Beattie II, Sandy Shelton, Scott Beattie, Kelly Langdon, Jessica Ballard McLamore, Jason Ballard, Jessica Ballard, Lacey Ballard, and Samantha Ballard; and twelve great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Claremont with Dr. Dennis Richards officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
