Helen Rose Sigmon Martin

Born May 28, 1929 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Troy Lee Sigmon and Ivey Lail Sigmon. She was a devoted member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Conover.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Thornburg.

Survivors include: sons, Greg Thornburg and wife, Terry, Doug Thornburg; daughter, Pamela Nelson and husband, Tom; brothers, Randy Sigmon, Tim Sigmon and sister, Carolyn Bolick. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and her beloved cat, Callie.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Conover with Pastors Mark Schudde and Brian Weaver officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be family members of Helen Martin and the burial will follow at Conover City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m.to 1:45 p.m. at the Church prior to the service.
