Isleen Viola Davis Shinn

Isleen Davis Shinn, age 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Catawba Regional Hospice of Newton, NC. Born June 8, 1934 in Mitchell County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Earnest Davis and Lena Styles Davis. Isleen was an active member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church for many years before her illness.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, Guy Richard Dellinger; grand-daughter, Candi Hernandez; brothers, Ray Davis and Alfred Davis.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Jennie Eagle and husband, John, Robin Frye and husband, Kenny, Gail Dellinger; grandchildren, Chris Edwards, Stephanie Hollar and husband, David, Scott Miller and wife, Katina, Angie McGhee and husband, Scott, Kenny Westray, Star Dellinger, Kenneth “Catfish” Farrar; step-granchildren, Andrew and Aaron Eagle; great-grandchildren, Chris Edwards, Kayleigh, Nathan, Harper, and Quinn Miller, Noah and Jacob Hollar, Amber Hedrick, Marianna Hernandez; step-great-great-grandchildren, Austen and Hannah Eagle; brothers, Albert and girlfriend, Terry, Ralph Davis and wife, Vicki; sister, Jewell Bollinger and husband, Dan.

A Service of Remembrance will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015 in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Conover with Pastor Ken Colman officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt.Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Conover, NC. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. on Friday prior to the service at Drum Funeral Home in Conover.
