

Jane Yoder Rowe, age 90, of Conover died Monday, May 6, 2013 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born March 1, 1923 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Conrad and Mollie McKinley Wise Yoder.
She was a member of Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ in Conover where she was active in the Ladies Circle and former member of the Consistory. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was an avid bridge player. When her children where in school she was active in their lives as a Cub Scout den mother and was involved in the Band Boosters and as a band chaperone. Jane retired from Newton Glove, where she had worked as a secretary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Noah Rowe, Jr.; son, Michael David Rowe; son-in-law, Keith Kimbro; and a sister, Henrietta Y. Kutz.
Survivors include a son, Robert Rowe and wife Ellen of Conover; a daughter, Becky Rowe Simmons and husband, Marcus of Florence, SC; grandchildren, Peter Rowe, Susan Sterling, Barbara Ball, William Kimbro, Katie Huntley, Kyle Kimbro, Michelle Rowe;
great grandchildren, Catrice Rowe, Allison Rowe, William Glosson, Abigail Glosson, Evie Grace Sterling, Harlan Sterling, Emma Sterling, Sydney Ball, Laura Ball, Hannah Laney, Grace Kimbro, Sam Kimbro; one nephew, Robert Taylor; two nieces, Patty Cargill and Josye Taylor.
A service of remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ. Revs. Lonny McSherley and Peggy Stout will officiate and burial will be in St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Claremont. Pallbearers will be Peter Rowe, Brian Ball, William Glosson, William Kimbro, Kyle Kimbro and Bryan Huntley.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, prior to the service, from 12:45 p.m. until 1:45 p.m.
