
Mrs. Madolin Davis Hudson, 101, of Arbor Acres, The Triad United Methodist Home passed away on March 15, 2016. Her husband, Harold A. Hudson, preceded her in death in 1991. She was born October 7, 1914 in Iredell County, NC to the late William L. and Nellie White Davis. Mrs. Hudson graduated from Harmony High School and attended Appalachian State University. She graduated from High Point University.
She taught school in Davie, Davidson, and Winston-Salem, Forsyth County Schools. Mrs. Hudson was a life member of North Carolina Association of Educators and a member of the N.C. Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, and member of the Clay Chandler Bible Class, and the United Methodist Women.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Hudson was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Young Davis, White Davis, Ralph Davis, Paul Davis, Helen Davis Mooney, Lucille Davis Lanier, and Colin Davis.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Elgevia Davis of Statesville and her nieces, nephews, and their families.
The family extends special thanks to the staff of Arbor Acres and Piedmont Home Health Care for their care and compassion.
A graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Statesville on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Craig Ford will conduct the service.
The family will gather prior to the service at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home at 1:15 p.m.
