

Margie Elizabeth Cline Isaac, age 84, of Conover, went home to be with the Lord on October 26, 2013 at Catawba Regional Hospice in Newton. Born June 18, 1929 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Perry Cline and Henrietta Brown Campbell. She was a member of First Christian Church in Newton and retired from Catawba Valley Medical Center after 35 years of work in the Dietary Department. Margie loved her grandchildren and enjoyed the beach and camping. She sang with the “Sweet Adelines” for 10 years and played the piano. As one granddaughter put it, “she was a fun grandma.”
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Gordon Isaac; one brother; and two sisters.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Kenneth Isaac and his wife, Debbie, of Newton; Kenneth’s son Ron and his wife, Carlyn, of Marshville, NC; and a son, Jarrett Isaac; daughter, Theresa Garren of Conover; Theresa’s daughter, Terri Elliott and her husband, Steve, of Hickory; their children, Jennifer Odom, Melissa Rudicil; Theresa’s son, Michael Huffman and his wife, Christina, of Mayfield, NY; daughter, Christina Kirby of Raleigh, NC; her children, Andrew Burns, Elizabeth Burns and Austin Kirby; Theresa’s son, Scotty Garren and his wife, Mary, of Claremont; their children, Lily Garren, Jaiden Garren, and Zachary Garren; and Margie’s daughter, Tammy Jennings of Hickory, NC.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Conover with Rev. Gary Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery in Newton, NC.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday prior to the service at Drum Funeral Home in Conover.
