Mildred Elizabeth Baucom Wilson

She was born January 4, 1924 in Mecklenburg County, NC to the late Oscar and Elizabeth Cranford Baucom. Mildred was a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church. She had previously been employed as a secretary for a life insurance company.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Donald Lee Wilson, two stillborn girls, and a brother, Winfred Baucom.

Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Thomas Wilson of the home; a son, John Wilson and wife, Ellen of Claremont; grandchildren, Sean Wilson and wife, Melissa; Brian Wilson; Scott Wilson and wife, Jessica; and great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Asher, Connor, Carson, Chandler, and Cayden Wilson.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Conover. Pastor Mary Miller-Zurell will officiate and burial will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, in Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte. Pallbearers will be friends and family.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 10:45 am at the church on Saturday.
