Walt and Bonnie had recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 22nd this year. Walt was an Air Force Veteran, skilled computer technician, a flirt, model railroad fan, woodworking enthusiast, history buff who showed his family all the historical markers and battlefields on the lower East Coast whether they wanted to see them or not. He was not an emotional man in public and would rather be behind the camera than having his picture taken. He enjoyed talking politics, collecting coins, and in general trying to see how many tools he could purchase before Bonnie said something to him. Walt was compassionate and caring in his own way. His actions showed that he believed in the good of a person. A devoted John Wayne movie and Paladin show fan, he could never get the rest of the family to match his love for those and had better success with Star Wars and Star Trek. Dad was a lover of chocolate ice cream.
