William “Bill” Cranford, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory. Born October 3, 1937 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late George David Cranford and Mary Ella Sims Cranford.
Bill was a member of Concord United Methodist Church.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Shirley Reinhardt Cranford; daughters, Debra Lee and husband, Jeff, Amy Burleson and husband, Jeff; son, Kevin Cranford; brother, David Lee Cranford and wife, Martha; sister, Beverly Cranford Roberts and husband, Don; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany United Church of Christ Cemetery in Claremont, NC, with Pastor Tom Deane from Concord United Methodist Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be sent to Concord United Methodist Church, 7618 Monbo Road, Catawba, NC 28609.
