

Dale was born in Plainview, TX on February 5th, 1935 to Herschel Brown and Irene Gentry Brown. He is survived by his spouse Betty Phillips Brown of Onalaska, TX, his daughter Cindy Brown Sanders and husband Mike of Conroe, TX, his daughter Toni Dale Brown of Willis, TX, his son Matt Allen Brown and wife Barbara of Valley Mills, TX and his sister Betty McGee of Plainview, TX. He has many grandchildren and great grandchildren that love him and will miss their Grandaddy. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. He lived in numerous places throughout Texas during his life and for 25 years he lived in Mineral Wells, TX.
He worked for Central Freight Lines for 28 years where he earned the distinguished award for 10 years of safe driving. Then he became an owner operator of his own truck for 9 years before he retired in 2004.
He was a faithful member of Pine Forest Baptist Church in Onalaska, TX, a Lions Club member and probably most notable as a Builders for Christ builder.
Both the services and visitation will be held at Pine Forest Baptist Church 10537 U.S. 190, Livingston, TX. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday October 11th and services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday October 12th. The services will be officiated by Reverend Guy Weathers and Pastor Larry Shine. He will be laid to rest at the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, TX.

All flowers in Dale's memory need to be sent to Metcalf Funeral Directors at 1801 E. White Oak Terrace, Conroe, TX 77304 no later than 9:00 am on Friday in order to be delivered to the services.
