Alrive "Or-lo" Smith

Alrive was born on January 21, 1960 in Salisbury Dominica to the late Lesford and Christia Smith. She was a sister to five brothers and three sisters of which her youngest brother preceded her in death. Alrive was certified in embroidery and was known for her home cooking, as she spent the majority of her career in food service.

She was married to Lawrence Jno-Baptiste and gave birth to Royson (deceased) and Nelson Jno-Baptiste. Alrive was known as an affectionate and kind soul to those who knew her well. For someone who experienced the loss of several significant loved ones, which includes both parents, a brother and a son, Alrive was an inspiration to anyone who was going through a tough time in life. Even throughout her illness she encouraged others to remain strong, not just for her but for themselves as well.

Alrive loved laughing and reminiscing on happy moments throughout her life. She enjoyed spending time with her Grandchildren and making them new clothing. Alrive was a loving and caring person, devoted mother, sister, grandmother, family and friend. Her faith in God was unwavering.

Alrive leaves to cherish her loving memory her son Nelson Jno-Baptiste, 7 siblings, 2 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Alrive Smith's Celebration of Life is scheduled for 2:00pm September 27th 2024, at Metcalf Funeral Home located at 1801 East White Oak Terrace Conroe Texas, 77304.
