Betty Katherine Brown

Betty Katherine Phillips Brown went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday with her family at her side in her home in Conroe, TX. She was 83 years old. Betty was born in Ralls, TX on March 19, 1937 to Matt Phillips and Corine Livingston Phillips. She was married to Allen Dale Brown February 12, 1955. They were married until his passing for 58 years.

She is survived by her daughter Cindy Brown Sanders and husband Mike of Conroe, TX, her daughter Toni Dale Brown of Conroe, TX, her son Matt Allen Brown and wife Barbara of Valley Mills, Tx and her sisters Wanda McKinney of Hale Center, TX, Shirley Schavey of Austin, TX and Diantha Chisholm of Ft. Worth, TX She has many grandchildren an great grandchildren that love her and will miss their Grandmommy.

She previously lived in Mineral Wells for 25 years where she worked with her husband at Central Freight Lines for many years. She loved to sing, work with flowers and plants and serve people in her church and community. She was a long time member of Builders for Christ, helping build churches around the country. She was a member of West Conroe Baptist Church.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, September 25, at 3:00pm at Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska , TX, officiated by Pastor Sid Blackmon. Service is under the direction of Metcalf Funeral Directors, 1801 East White Oak Terrace, Conroe, TX. Flowers can be sent to Metcalf and they will transport them to Onalaska.

The family would like to thank Cindy Perkins and Ivy Marie Davila at Amen Hospice for their wonderful and compassionate care.
