

Billy Ray Fitzsimmons Sr. was born in Sallisaw, OK on August 20, 1939, and passed away on December 30, 2021, at the age of 82. He lived most of his life in the Houston area. Billy loved the Lord and always said “I can do anything with Jesus by my side”. He loved to witness and give his testimony about all that Christ has done in his life. He was a member of North Ridge Baptist Church for 22 years and was ordained as a deacon of the church May 4, 2003. He was a talented carpenter. He loved working with wood and could build just about anything you wanted. His greatest love was spending time with all his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
If you asked him how he was doing he would either respond “Copacetic” or “If I was any better, I’d be in heaven”. Today he is in heaven, and everything is copacetic!!!
Billy is proceeded in death by his parents Bethel George and Bonnie, wife Kaarlene Fitzsimmons, second wife Pat Fitzsimmons, friend, and companion Maxine Andrisek, son Billy Ray Fitzsimmons Jr., twin sister Shirley Kay Alfrejd, other siblings Larry Fitzsimmons, Eddie Fitzsimmons, Marvin Fitzsimmons, Wanda Lou May, Bobby Gene Fitzsimmons, Donna Gourley, Donny Gourley, grandson Jagger Fitzsimmons, stepsons Mark Allen and Tim Allen.
Billy is survived by his daughter Kathy Williams and her husband Mike, son Kenneth Fitzsimmons and his wife Chrissy, stepson Greg Allen, stepdaughters Karen Bragg, and Patricia McGrath. He is also survived by his siblings Danny Gourley, and Mary Ann Fitzsimmons. His surviving grandchildren are Michael Cummings and wife Beth, Katie Cummings and fiancé Steve Degner, Stephen Allen, Richard Allen, Daniel Mena and fiancé Jane Wood, Tony Allen, Alyssa Fitzsimmons and Shawn Henderson, Patricia Fitzsimmons and Evan Coghlan, Heather Fitzsimmons, Emily Harwick and husband Stephen, Evan Fitzsimmons, and Andrea Hernandez. He also has many great grandchildren, Kaden Cummings, Ticen Grimes, Isaiah Fitzsimmons, Maddie Cummings, Julian Grimes, Luke Brown, Eli Huffmaster, Gracelynn Huffmaster, and Caden Harwick.
Services will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at 2:00pm at Northridge Baptist Church, 10681 FM 1484 Road, Conroe, TX 77303. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
Flowers may be sent to Cashner Funeral Home and Cemetery, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX 77303. In lieu of flowers you may donate to Northridge Baptist Church.
