Blake Adam Hyde Schehin of Conroe, Texas went to be with the Lord on July 21, 2022, at the age of 31. Blake was born on May 31, 1991 in Conroe, Texas, with eyes wide open, ready to take on whatever life had in store. Blake leaves behind his mother, Stacie Lynch, his sister, Acacia Schehin, his brother, Jacob Schehin, his grandfather, Gene Hyde, his grandmother, Elaine Schehin, his Aunts, September and Angela, and his cousins, Dustin, Emilie, Eric, Hollie, Jayden, and Jordan. Blake was welcomed into Heaven by his father, Adam Troy Schehin, his grandmother, Linda Hyde, his grandfather, Fred Schehin, his Uncle, Jason Schehin, and all his great-grandparents.
Our beloved Blake grew up and attended school in what he called "the 936." He was the first grandchild in the family, and was and always will be his "Momma's" precious, beloved boy. Blake was the eldest of three siblings. As a child, he picked on his brother and sister and bossed them around relentlessly, but he loved, protected, and stood up for them always. Blake didn't hesitate to set other kids straight for picking on his little sister or brother. He loved his family beyond measure, and he made sure we all knew it. He was a charismatic guy who had a ton of friends, and he loved being with them as often as he could. Everyone knew he had their backs, no matter what. Blake was fun, expressive, loud, witty, hard-headed, smart, frustrating beyond belief, incredibly sweet and loving, and immensely loyal. He was a special soul - one of a kind.
Blake had a larger than life personality. He was everything all at once. He was adored by many, and was misunderstood by a few. Some of you may have wondered why he called himself "Elote Rojo" ...he offered no explanation ;) Blake was a natural comedian from the time he could talk, and he loved to make people laugh. He was downright hilarious his whole life, and if you spent even a little time with him, you would laugh until you cried. We are all crying still.
Blake left this world suddenly, tragically, and far too soon, but he was a "yes" man while he was here. He said "yes" to every opportunity that came his way and he had a roller coaster ride of a life. He didn't get the chance to experience everything that he had hoped for in life, but he did experience a lot. He lived his life out loud and on his own terms, he was beyond bold, and he was unapologetically himself. Blake was wild and free spirited. He was an extremely creative person - a talented artist, a lyricist, and a musician. He was a skilled tattoo artist, and everyone appreciated his unique designs. Many people are so grateful that they got tattoos from him while they had the chance, and others are so sad that they've now missed the opportunity. Blake loved doing tattoo work. His own body was a canvas, a one of a kind mural of self-expression, which he proudly showed off to the world.
Blake was a special, precious soul with a heart of gold. We treasure the 31 highly-spirited years we had with him; but our hearts ache for many, many more. Blake had such a huge presence that his passing left behind a giant void in our hearts, but he had a close relationship with God which should give us all comfort. Blake studied the Bible and shared its teachings with others. We can rest soundly knowing that he is at peace; that he is safe now in Heaven, happy in the presence of his loved ones who went before, and with an endless supply of ink, making everyone laugh until they cry and convincing them all to get tattoos. We know he'll be waiting right up front to welcome us with his infectious smile and one of his gigantic hugs when we get there. We love you beyond all measure, Blake. Infinitely. We cannot wait to be with you once again.
