Bobby Lloyd Gilliland passed away peacefully on April 1st, 2025. He was born on December 15, 1935, in Lubbock, Texas to Lloyd and Stella Gilliland. He was a highly respected strong willed man who had an unwavering work ethic. He spent many years in the construction industry working for Linbeck, Morganti, Montgomery County and many others. He lived to work the back gate at the Montgomery County Fair.
He is preceded in death by both his parents, wives Billie Joyce, Judith D’Ann, and Melinda Sue, and brothers Larry and Gary. He is survived by his siblings, Ronnie Gilliland, Sue Revilla and husband Bruce, his children, James Lloyd Gilliland, David Gilliland, Billy Wayne Gilliland, D’Anna Garza and husband Ruben, DeeDee Norris, Bubba Gilliland, Ken Law and wife Andy and Korina Law. As well as his grandchildren Ashley Fullen, Lindsey Holmes and husband Brandon, Ronnie Fullen, Melanie Olkey and husband Chris, Kyle Norris, and Erik Garza and great grandchildren, Jaidynn Fullen, Brandon Holmes, Jaxon Fullen, Tucker Holmes, Brexley Holmes, and Stetsyn Holmes. He is also survived by many other grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and many other special friends that became family along the way.
In his younger years, he enjoyed being a handyman and building things at home. As he grew older, he enjoyed watching his great grandkids play, reading the newspaper and getting the mail. He will be greatly missed by many, but we will always carry his memory in our hearts.
A celebration of life for Bobby will be held Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX 77303. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to in memory of Bobby through the Montgomery County Fair Association.
