Tom, Ethel and Bob moved from the Silsbee area for a fresh start and ended up at the JN Thorton Lumber Company location Cal Spur on FM 2854 81 years ago.
Bob and his family had many challenges and tough times. He graduated from Conroe High School in 1949 and then join the United States Army and fought in the Korean War. After returning home he went to work for Mobil Oil in Beaumont and retired as warehouse supervisor.
The rest of Bobs life was his adventure and done exactly his way. His favorite pastime was hunting, fishing and even day front porch chats with people he allowed to visit him.
Bob lived life his way. If you crossed him, he made sure it was the last time. He was a believer in truth and honesty; a lot of people found this out the hard way.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Tommie Milwee Stott and Ethel Lee Satterwhite, many family from the Golden Triangle and a host of friends. Bob will be missed and loved forever. He was a man that never quit and enjoyed his life until the end.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at 10:00am in Cashner Colonial Chapel with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Silsbee, Texas at 1:30pm. You are invited to view our webpage and leave written tributes to the family at cashnerconroe.com
