

Charlene was a wife, mother, and business owner. Charlene took wonderful care of her family in sickness and in health. She inspired others and was a joy to all who knew her. She was quick to encourage, and she influenced others to be the best versions of themselves. As a young mother, she joined her children and their friends in many activities not only to keep an eye on them, but she had a youthful spirit and endless energy.
She excelled as a youth counselor at church. She influenced many in a positive way in this role.
She was a good cook and baker and liked to entertain. She enjoyed people and took time to listen to them because they mattered. She developed a talent for painting and had a natural talent for writing. She was an avid reader. She quickly became attached to her iPhone and enjoyed games and texting. She had a kind heart and gentle soul. Her faith grounded her and strengthened her. She developed close relationships with the young people in her life. Her role changed from being a mother to her children to being best friends with her children. She was an amazing role model.
Charlene is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Hampie Lou Butchee and her husband Clarence Henry Dietz. She is survived by her daughters Jo Ellen Strieber and husband Carl Wayne Strieber, Jeri Lynn Dietz-Wieland and husband Lee Eugene Wieland and longtime family friend whom she regarded as a daughter Lori Elgin and husband Richard Elgin.
Graveside services will be held Friday, June 17, 2022 at 10:00 am in Garden Park Cemetery (801 Teas Road Conroe, Texas 77303).
