

Charlie graduated from Lamar High School in 1949 and joined a Marine Corps reserve unit. In August 1950 two months after the Korean War broke out his unit was activated: Charlie spent a tour in Korea as a combat rifleman. He was discharged in August 1952 and entered the University of Houston. He graduated in the summer of 1955 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Upon graduation he was employed by Cameron Iron Works in Houston. In 1959 he was hired by Humble Oil & Refining Company (now Exxon/Mobil). Charlie spent 19 years with Exxon, primarily in Houston, as an oil trader. In 1978 he joined Wyoming Oil & Refining Company as Vice President of Crude Oil Supply. He remained with Wyoming Oil & Refining Co. until his retirement in 1995.
After his retirement Charlie and Myra moved to Sun City in Georgetown, Texas where they became involved with Meals on Wheels, Kiwanis Club of Sun City, The Palace Theater, and the construction and maintenance of a Monarch Butterfly Garden on the grounds of a local school.
He was predeceased in death by his parents, Barbara Lee Hill, his first wife and sister Marilyn Blassingame. He is survived by Myra Loretta Hill, his wife & best friend, his sons Charles Randal Hill, Robert Gregory Hill (Juanita), Darrell Keith Hill (Peggy), Stepdaughter Sherri Dawn Whitehead, Stepson Robert Michael Danielson and several very special grandchildren.
At Charlies request a memorial service will not be held. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM on May 29th, 2026, in Garden Park Cemetery in Conroe, Texas.
