He was born on July 18, 1940, in Cove, Arkansas. He graduated from Weeks High School. He served in the US Army from September 1959 to September 1965.
Charles is survived by his loving wife Vivian Estelle Harper Odom of 64 years, son Clif DeWayne Odom; grandsons Matthew DeWayne Odom, Michael DeWayne Lee and granddaughter Rachael Nicole Edinburgh, great-grandsons: Kyle Lee, David Lee, and Mason Lee, great-granddaughters: Danielle Ferguson, Aleah Grace Odom, Zoeriea Royalty Stovall, and godson John Pinchback.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dewey Walker, and his mother Florence Walker, brothers Larry Walker, David Walker, his daughter Steffney Rena Lee-Hall.
Charles worked as a truck driver his entire life once he got out of the Army. During his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and volunteering at the local food bank. Charles loved the Lord and was a faithful servant. He will be missed dearly but his family is comforted knowing that he is resting in peace with our Lord.
Funeral services will be on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior, at Cashner Funeral Home at 801 Teas Rd. Conroe, Tx 77303. Graveside services will take place at 1:00 pm at Calvary Hill Cemetery located at 21723 Aldine Westfield Road, Humble, TX 77338.
