Cherlynn Kay Bruce, 64 of Conroe Texas passed away peacefully with her two sisters by her side early Easter morning, April 20th, in Conroe, Texas. Cherlynn was born in the small town of Rotan, Texas on May 7, 1960, and was the oldest daughter to Doyle and Patsy Brinegar.
Cherlynn was a 1978 graduate of Conroe High School where she was active in Golden Girls, Volleyball and the golf team. And senior year with the help of her longtime friend Dee Oliver that introduced her to the love of her life Larry Wayne Bruce they were married on July 10, 1982 they were married 11 years until his death in 1993.
After graduation Cherlynn earned a bachelor degree and master degree in Reading from Sam Houston State University. At a young age she always wanted to be a teacher and she did just that for almost 30 years working in Conroe independent school district and Splendora school district. She taught many students and was loved by many students and parents. There will never be a greater big sister or aunt than Cherlynn was and will be missed by many.
Cherlynn is preceded in death by her parents Doyle and Patsy Brinegar and her one and true love Larry Wayne Bruce who we all know was waiting at Heaven's gate for her arrival.
Cherlynn is survived by her two sisters Karen Jefferis and Stacy Phillips, nieces and nephew Heather Phillips (Josiah Owens) Kolton Jefferis (Brittaini Cook), Haylee Phillips (Cody Curry) and great niece and nephew Lily and Karson Jefferis, plus her two four legged loves Maggie Mae and Buttons
Services will be Saturday, April 26th at 10:00am at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe Texas
Graveside services will be held immediately after at Conroe Memorial Park at 1600 Porter Rd, Conroe, TX 77301 with Pastor John Fernandez of The Ark Church officiating.
Serving as pallbearers are Kolton Jefferis, Josiah Owens, Cody Curry, Tommy Woolley, Wendell Woolley and Chris Delk.

We will miss her forever.
