

Clarence (Wayne) Gibson, a loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away on January 26, 2015, closely following the death of his beloved wife Margaret (Margie) Gibson, who passed away in August. Wayne was born on June 23, 1943 in Greenwood, Indiana. He served in the Army from 1962-1968, where he was stationed in Germany. After returning home, he joined the Carpenter’s Union in Indiana. He later spent time working in both Texas and Arizona to get away from the cold. Wayne loved Texas and later moved his young family to Conroe, Texas. After working for years in the Carpenter’s Local 551 in Houston, Wayne and his wife Margie opened M&W Cabinet Shop. Together, they managed their business and built custom cabinets for several families and businesses in the Conroe area. Wayne enjoyed spending time with his family, going fishing, reading the sports pages daily, and continuing to do woodworking past his retirement. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Dillard and Ethel Gibson, his brother Russell, and his wife Margie. He is survived by his son, Tom Deveny (Gina), daughters, Lisa Surface (Scott), and Tina Oestreich (Joerg), his grandchildren, Julius Oestreich, Anna Oestreich, Shivonne Rogers, Jeremy Rachal, Michael Rachal, Stacy Durdin, great grandchildren, Reece Rachal, Hayley Rogers, Clinton Rogers, Colby Rogers, Paul Durdin, Matthew Durdin, Nathaniel Durdin. Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive. Wayne was devoted to his wife Margie and cared for her during the last two years of her life throughout her illness. After his own brief illness, he has joined her in Heaven. The family will receive friends, at a visitation, on January 29, 2015, from the hours of 2:00pm till 3:00pm with a funeral service following at 3:00pm, in the Cashner Colonial Chapel, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas 77303. Interment will take place in Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038, on January 30, 2015, at 9:00am.
