Mama, it has been a long year since you left.  So many things have happened but I feel you know all about them.   Can you believe your third great-grandbaby is now 7 months old and Brooklyn Delaney Dean is so beautiful and makes all the Deans so happy.  Your fourth great-grandbaby, Bentley Allen Hammett, will arrive Monday, the 19th, on the first anniversary of your passing.  We are all very excited to meet him and his birth will help ease a painful memory of 9/19.  You know how much we all miss you and all the fun laughs we shared with you and your constant outpouring of love and support for each and every one of us. We just miss YOU.   I love you so much. Amy

Sweet Connie, although I never had the pleasure of meeting you.  I knew and loved you from Amy's telling me about what a remarkable person you were. I will miss my sweet sister so much, we talked every week two or three times and had lots of laughs.  We had wonderful memories of our parents and our sister Francine.  Laughter was always the common factor in all of them.  I loved her so much and will miss her.  Her children are a testimony to her goodness and  her caring. Hi sweet girl....Lin and I along with Jack and all your awesome family know you must feel so pleased with your service yesterday and even today...by the way, that first song was really Old Rugged Cross (your favorite forever) just wasn't sure you realized that.......want give you too many more details as afterall you were there with us, as always YOU will be.  We know you were smiling because you were able to see your entire family (well except for sweet Shelby who just wasn't ready as you knew she would not be), all of your church friends, your dear volunteer buddies, your dear friends in your community all at one time without even having to get out in that little blue car in 'all that traffic'. Weren't you so proud of your dear friend Joe and Brother John.  I don't even need to ask you your feelings when Ali read from your own Bible and what a beautiful loving honor for her and her parents and family.  We chose Hyden's to gather afterwards and enjoyed such love, some laughter, and of course as you know such excellent food....boy I so remember just 3 weeks ago to the day how we enjoyed that catfish that day there with the 'best baked potato ever' and then we just lingered and talked and talked.  I was so proud of all the awesome things being said about you and stories told to me directly at your service...You were absolutely truly cared for and loved by so many people but then again you were really ALWAYS so kind to so many, so giving of anything you might have, and so full of pride and love for your family, every single one of us, but about the best part of you sweet girl, my dear little mama, was the FUN.  I so miss you and you know how much I love you, Amy :)

Miss Connie will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  I met her at Dr.Scarborough's office.   No matter how she felt, she always had a smile on her face and a kind word for me and everyone that worked for her doctor

I will miss my sweet "Aunt Connie". I have so many great childhood memories of the years you lived with your sister, my Grandma Haynes, in Nashville. I so enjoyed those rides to school in the Monte Carlo. You were always there for me and my sister and I will truly miss you. Thank you for all you did for us and taught us. Tell my Grandma up there in heaven that I miss her everyday and you girls behave! Until we meet again.....Love you! - Amy

I knew Connie in 1993-1994 when I was the manager at the Riverwalk Apts. in Conroe.  I saw her every day as she would come by my office and visit.  My mother from Michigan who had breast cancer would come to Houston for treatments and she and Connie became friends as my mother would come to work with me on occassion.  I have fond memories of her and she will be missed.  I moved to Colorado in 1996 after my mother passed.

My sweet Aunt Connie, you will truly be missed and you brought such joy to my life and to my family, and, most important, to my Mother, Francine.  We had some fun times while you lived in Nashville and those are now more precious memories than ever.  We all love and miss you!  Nancy, Gene, and my girls, Tammie and Amy.

Connie was a dear friend of all who knew her.  I was blessed to know Connie for many years at the hospital and each year for the Volunteer Bake Sale Connie would make me a chocolate cake to buy.  It thrilled her to make it and bring it knowing it was my favorite.  I will miss Connie and even thought it is sad to loose her I know where she will spend eternity and that comforts me.
