Connie would like you to know that her work here is done. She received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign on bonus, A reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be dancing with Jesus with music, laughter, and love. Where the food is delicious and you never gain an ounce.
Connie was born in Conroe Texas. She attended Willis High School and graduated in 1987. She currently resided in Willis Texas. She had been battling lung cancer for the past 18 months.
She spent several years in Galveston where she worked at UTMB, and as a personal care giver. She had a big heart, loved the beach, and gambling.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for all the thoughts and prayers during her illness.
Preceded in death by Father William Earl Gates, Grandparents: Jack & Louise Gates, Leroy and Bernice Cline, Clifford and Mary Lou Roberson, Connie is survived by Mother: Bobbie Gates, Brother: James DeShazier & Sister in law Anna DeShazier, Sister: Sherri Hoover & Brother in law Bob Hoover, Sister: Cindy Turner and many loving nieces & nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, in Conroe, Texas, on Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
