David Charles Hisey has now departed this earth and gone home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. David passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 4th in Tomball, Texas, and leaves behind a host of friends and relatives who are left to mourn the loss of this good and decent soul. He now thrives in heaven in the company of his Aunt Jo Beth and his grandparents who loved every moment they were allowed to spend in the company of their grandson while on this earth.
David was born on March 1st, 1988, in Houston, Texas, to parents, Virginia (Ginger) Hisey and Sherrill (Wayne) Hisey. He was the 2nd child born to that union after the arrival of Brother, Derek. David lived in Magnolia during his formative years and attended Magnolia High School where he enjoyed competing on the varsity level in football and baseball. At age 15, David participated in the Super Series World Series and the Triple Crown World Series as a select baseball player. He played catcher and outfield. In addition, this young athlete thrived on motorcycles. He graduated in 2016 and attended Texas State University before choosing his preferred path in construction, particularly welding, where he found a comfortable environment in which to enjoy and excel.
David was preceded in death by his Aunt Jo Beth Bennett, his maternal grandparents, Bob and Betty Bennett, and his paternal grandparents, Edgar Hisey and Dianne Miller.
He is survived by his mother, Virginia (Ginger) Beck and husband, Gary Beck; his father, Sherrill (Wayne) Hisey, and wife, Teresa Hisey; his brother, Derek Hisey; his aunt, Gayla Shanks and husband, Donny Shanks; his aunt and uncle, Shannon and Anthony Miller; his uncle, Jeremy McAllister; and his uncle, Adam Miller.
A funeral service will be held for David on Monday, February 9th, 2026, at Metcalf Funeral Home, 1801 E. White Oak Terrace, Conroe, Texas, with the Reverend Jeff Berger officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00, with his service beginning at 11:00. After his service, David will be transported to Grapeland, Texas, where he will be interred near his maternal grandparents and his Aunt Jo Beth in the family area of the Davis Cemetery.
