We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved son, Dawson Lee Chandler, on June 20, 2025, at the age of 22. He was born January 29, 2003, in Conroe, TX, and has brought us endless joy to our lives from the moment he arrived, and he will be deeply missed.
Dawson was a graduate of Caney Creek High School and was working toward his career goal to be a Journeyman Lineman. He was currently an Apprentice Lineman (5th step) with the Southwestern Line Constructors (SWLCAT) apprenticeship program, employed with Bright Star Solutions Inc, and a proud member of the IBEW Local Union 66.
In his spare time, his entrepreneurial spirit and love of fixing things, lead him to start his own ATV/UTV Repair & Service business and he was the proud owner of “Throttle Therapy Offroad”. When he was not working, you would likely find him in his shop.
Dawson excelled in just about anything he set his mind to whether it be academic or personal goals, from all his various school awards, sports, taking his SAT in 7th grade to getting his CDL at 18 to his current bookwork for the apprenticeship, his exceptional work ethics as a teen and young adult were without fail in every job he did, and everything in between throughout his short 22 years. He made us so proud as his parents in all he did.
Dawson was a loving, vibrant soul with a one-of-a-kind smile, laugh and sense of humor. He has always had an adventurous spirit and a love for the outdoors from a very young age, he was a hunter, a fisherman, and had a passion for all things ATV & off-road mudding.
Dawson was a natural born leader, teacher, and a problem solver, in every way, whether it be teaching his sister to ride a four-wheeler and giving her life advice, helping friends & family with their various mechanical problems, or taking kids fishing and teaching them not only to catch but to clean them too, and the list goes on.
It also goes without saying that to know Dawson, you also knew his love for his closest friends was strong and the many memories they have shared over the years are priceless and too numerous to list.
Without a doubt, no matter the occasion, when Dawson entered a room, he lit it up with his larger-than-life presence and fun-loving spirit, from his various music playlists to his determination to make sure you had a good time.
He had found the love of his life with his fiancé Destinie Ryals, having a relationship filled with mutual love, respect, fun, laughter, and many treasured memories was a gift that one can only hope to get in their lifetime. They were set to be married in April of 2026.
He is survived by his mother, Ann Chandler; father, David Chandler; two sisters Marissa Chandler, Brittainy Chandler and husband Cody Randall; grandmother, Linda Fry; grandfather, Jessie and wife Sharon Chandler; two aunts, Sandee and her husband Chris Samarasinghe, Tina Chandler; one uncle, John and wife Michele Chandler; a niece, Saydi Wells; two cousins, Tim Chandler, Taylor Chandler; fiancé Destinie Ryals, along with numerous extended family and close friends.
He was proceeded in death by his grandmother Michele Chandler, and grandfather Robert Mortimer.
