Delores, lovingly known as Miss Dee, mama, and granny, passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus on June 9, 2025, at Harmony Memory Care just one day shy of her 90th birthday. She was born on June 10, 1935, in Cleveland, Texas where she grew up.
Dee moved to Conroe in 1966 and worked at Conroe ISD, then relocated to Baytown working for Brown and Root. She met and married Harold Roach and they were married until his passing in 1989. She moved back to Conroe, working for her son at Memories Unlimited Photography until 2004 when the studio was sold. In her retirement years, Dee enjoyed shopping with Vikki and Jeannie at Penny’s, Kohls, and Sam’s Club, pool parties at her house with her kids and grandkids, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Saturday road trips with Bo and Debbie to the cemetery, to Cleveland on Shell Oil road where the house burned down, to Mt. Belvieu where her and Hal’s house was, to Kemah Boardwalk for seafood, eating Mexican food many Saturdays, and visiting with her many friends and neighbors. Dee also loved her precious dogs, Peanut, and later JJ.
Dee was preceded in death by her mother, Myrtle Carnes, father, Burdell Carnes, husband, Harold Roach, sister, Barbara Wells, daughter, Debbie Gail Rutledge, and daughter, Jeannie Bruce.
Dee is survived by her son, Russell (Bo) Moss and wife Debbie; daughter, Vikki Hunter and husband Pete; son-in-law, Bobby Bruce; sister, Bobbi McClain; Grandchildren Mark Bruce, Kevin Bruce, Heath Hunter, Jason Hunter and wife Lanayae, Lacy McGough and husband Adam, and Shane Rutledge; great grandchildren Noah McGough, Cooper McGough, Eli McGough, Katy Hunter, Luke Hunter, Elise Bruce, and Jackson Bruce.

Funeral services will occur on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX 77303, with visitation one hour prior. A graveside service will occur Monday, June 16, 2025, at 12:00 PM, at Montague Cemetry, 14725-14993 Hill store Rd.(FM 1725), Cleveland, TX 77328.
