Doris Fossler, age 93, of Willis went to be with her Heavenly Father on April 11, 2012. She and her husband, Larry resided in Conroe, Texas for the last 12 years after moving from the Rio Grande Valley, Mercedes, Texas.
She was born to James and Eva Griffin on October 18, 1918 in Easton, Maryland. Doris’s health had begun to fail the last four years, so she spent the final days of her life with friends, family and care givers at Virginia’s Lakeview Home, Willis, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Lawrence William (Larry) Fossler. Doris is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law, Grady Lloyd Fossler and wife Patricia Ann of Willis and Terry William Fossler of Conroe; three grandchildren, Michael Lloyd Fossler and wife Susan of Montgomery, Eric Jason Fossler and wife Rolanda of Conroe and Jennifer Holt and husband Ben of Fresno, California. She is also survived by three great grandchildren, Nathaniel and Andrew Fossler of Montgomery, Texas and Alissa Marie Holt of Fresno, California. Doris spoke often of her relatives and would want to send special thanks for their continued love and support. Doris deeply loved her Lord and her family. Her greatest joy was working with her husband in their dry cleaning business, Day and Night Cleaners in Harlingen, Texas and caring for her husband and children. Her sweet, gentle spirit will be missed by everyone. A private family visitation will be held on Friday night and the service will be on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 3 p.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Rev. David Quail officiating. Burial will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Grady, Terry, Michael, Eric Fossler and Ben Holt. The family would like to thank the staff at Virginia’s Lakeview Home for their kind care and love of mom over the last four years. You are invited to leave written messages and condolences for the family on our website at www.cashnerconroe.com.
