

A Rosary and Visitation will be held at 4:00 PM on August 6, 2014 at the Metcalf Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas.
Liz was born in Freeport, Texas on November 5, 1952. She graduated from St. Agnes High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor of Education Degree and a Master of Education Degree from the University of Houston.
Liz was a beloved teacher at Bunker Hill Elementary School in the Spring Branch Independent School District, a position she held for the past 12 years. She enjoyed teaching her students and mentoring those around her. She relished spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. Liz was an avid photographer hobbyist, she had a passion for nurturing and serving those around her in need, and she adored her golden lab, Clara.
Liz is survived by her step-mother, Margaret H. Eikenberg of Houston, Texas; her two brothers, Chuck Eikenberg of Dallas, Texas, Ronnie Eikenberg and his wife Babette of Montgomery, Texas; her cherished nieces and nephews, Andie Eikenberg, Charlie Eikenberg, Dean Eikenberg of Dallas, Texas, Amy Eikenberg of Houston, Texas, and Chris Eikenberg of Palm Springs, California; and the rest of her family and friends.
Liz is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Virgil “Ike” Eikenberg and Helen Harrington Eikenberg.
Memorial donations may be given to the Houston SPCA, 900 Portway Drive Houston, Texas 77024.
The family of Liz Eikenberg wishes to thank everyone for their prayers and kindness as we say goodbye to a wonderful teacher, loving aunt, adored sister, much-loved daughter, and precious friend.
