

Elizabeth Byrd Greening was born May 26, 1936. She passed away November 24, 2017 with her daughters by her side. Elizabeth spent her early years in San Augustine County and then Nacogdoches. The family moved to Cleveland in 1963 where she would make her home. Over the years she worked very hard to raise her family. Elizabeth enjoyed her plants and truly had a green thumb. She enjoyed bird watching and writing in her journals. She was a kind and loving person. She loved to give and made everyone feel special. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Idell and Burt Byrd, brother, James Byrd, daughter Teresa DeHart, niece, Tonnia Tate, and son-in-laws, Patrick DeHart and Michael Greer. Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Paula Brewer and husband, Sid of Tarkington, and Becky Greer of Madisonville, grandchildren, Chris Greer, David Greer and wife, Lauren, Brian Greer, Jessica Wallace and husband, Blake, John DeHart and wife, Brittany, James DeHart, Shawna Alexander and husband, Jonathan, and Zach Brewer, sister-in-law, Tommie Byrd, niece, Serenity Kettwich and husband, Dan, and great nephew Jacob and great niece, Cameron. She is also survived by her twelve great grandchildren, Evan, Ethan, Parker, Paige, Everett, Emma, Kyla, Chase, Luke, Bailey, Brogan, and Brooklyn. Elizabeth will be missed by her family and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Cashner Funeral Home.
