Evalena Ruth Lemm

“Nanny Lemm” or “Mama Lemm” as she was known was the biggest supporter of her family. She never met a stranger and always enjoyed having friends and family over to sit on the porch and have a cold one with her.

Evalena was preceded in death by her husband Melvin S.H. Lemm, son Ollie Clifton Lemm, her parents, one sister and two brothers, and son-in-law Bill Babson. She is survived by her children Doris Babson, Susan Gilstrap (Butch) and Mary “Smiley” Phillips (Kelly), grandchildren Joni Rao (Jeff), Christina Nephew (Danny), and Andy Ray Hyman (Brittney), great grandchildren Brian Smith, Kaycee Smith, Davonte Nephew, Mersadez Nephew, Cheyenne Smith, Amiyah Nephew, Danny “D3” Nephew, III, and great great grandchild Khyson Williams, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Evalena’s family will welcome visitors to Cashner Funeral Home on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Cashner Funeral Home with burial to follow in Molts Cemetery in Cypress, Texas. Pallbearers will be Johnny Sorge, Jeff Rao, Kelly Phillips, Danny Nephew, Jr., Wayne Thiess and Butch Williams.
