

McLennan County. Her father was John Howell Lewis and her mother was Ethel Louise
Walker Lewis. She married William Brightwell Saunders on March 7, 1934 in Marlin,
Texas. He preceded her in death on October 11, 1998 in Harlingen Texas. She passed
from this life on August 14, 2013 with her family close by.
She is survived by William F. (Bill) Saunders (wife:Lucia) of Conroe and Susan
Saunders McCormick. She is survived by five granddaughters: Melanie McCormick Ray
of Fort Worth, Tina Saunders Ingram (husband: Timothy Ingram) of Fort Worth, Kathryn
Saunders Gonzales (husband: Russell Gonzales) of Conroe, Michele McCormick
Robinson (husband: Bryan Robinson) of San Benito, and Elizabeth Hope Saunders of
Houston. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren: Paisley Rene Ray and Troy Brightwell
Ray, of Fort Worth, William Konnor Robinson, and Jack Bryan Robinson of San Benito.
Her great granddaughter, Quincey Ray preceded her in death.
She is survived by one sister, Ethylene Lewis McKinney of Round Rock.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Johnny Maureen Lewis and Lillian Lucille
Lewis Parry. Frankie and Bill were childhood sweethearts and went to school together in Waco. They lived many years in Austin, and then moved to Palm Valley, near Harlingen, TX. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cashner Colonial Chapel. Interment will be at Rosemound Cemetery in Waco beside her beloved husband and near their childhood homes. .
