

Gail Clifford was born to Lena May Baker and Russel Deloy Clifford in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Russell and Viola, who both died in infancy. Gail, at age 85, passed away from complications from a blood infection.
Gail is survived by her loving husband Johnnie Dean Burleson, her daughter Loretta Richardson, and her son Timothy Burleson (wife Karen) all of Montgomery County, Willis, Texas. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Kaithlyn (husband Ja-Mal) Stewart, Eric Richardson, Trent Richardson, and Kara (husband Jared) Badley. Gail is also survived by four great-grandchildren: Laila Stewart, Kenzie Stewart, Ava Stewart and Gage Badley, and three step great-grandchildren: Julian Stewart, Aubrey Harris and Elijah Harris and by her siblings: Myron Jay Clifford, Wayne (wife Lois) Clifford, Rena Burtchel, Jerry (wife Sherry) Burleson and Jack (wife Sharon) Burleson. She also leaves behind her life long friends Margorie Long, Paula Gwaltney and Linda Boysen.
Gail met Johnnie while he was serving in the Army in Fort Lewis, Washington and they married November 21, 1959. They moved to Lubbock, Texas, shortly thereafter. They spent many of their best years raising their children in Irving and Granbury, Texas. Gail and Johnnie enjoyed Square Dancing and Clogging as hobbies.
After raising their two children they moved south to the Conroe/Willis area. They spent several of their retirement years living at the Conroe Airport in a hangar, while owning a private plane. Gail enjoyed spending time with her four grandchildren as they all grew up together. They finally sold the plane and settled on 20 acres in Willis, Texas in 2004, where they resided until Gail passed away, January 31, 2024. They were together in marriage 64 years and 2 months.
Gail will be fondly remembered for her love and dedication to her family, her warm heart, and caring nature. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
