On Feb.12, 2014 we crossed a bridge we never wanted to cross. We said goodbye to a loving husband, father, grandfather, and father-in-law. He was a best friend to his brothers and a friend to all who knew him. He had his priorities straight, His faith in God, and his promise to love, honor, and cherish with extraordinary love and tender care of his wife Yvonne Silinsky. Gary provided for and guided his children, Theresa Jean, Gary M Silinsky(Antoinette), Bree D Thompsen(Seth), to adulthood. We stopped looking at him as just Dad, but also a friend. He loved his brothers, Ron Silinsky (Jan), and Joe Silinsky(Joanne) as best friends. He cherished time with them and their families. He always had stories to share. His love for his family was well known. Including grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He had a genuine smile and a twinkle in his eye. A nicer man, you'll never meet. He loved working as a millwright and travelling across the country. In later years, he worked next to his son. They butted heads if one had to be the others boss, but they both loved it. He loved work so much that in his final days, he thought he was working. He was honest, kind, content, and loving. He died with nobility and dignity. He fought a valiant fight but in the end, he was ready to go home where we know he was received with a victorious reception. He is with his father Arthur, His mother Peggy, his close friend and sister Becky, his close friend Jeff and close friend Vinny, just to name a few. While we are relieved that his suffering has ended, our hearts are heavy and broken. He will be sorely missed.
