Grace was preceded by her beloved husband of 52 years, Sam Walding and their son Mark Walding. She is survived by her younger sister Billie Groening; loving daughter Dee Cobb; and her grandchildren Mark Edwin Walding Jr., John Wayne Walding and Toby Walding as well as her 10 great-grandchildren.
A single title would not seem to be enough for Mrs. Walding, an Executive Secretary, a Sunday School teacher in adult and children’s classes, past president of her sorority, past president and charter member of DeTar Hospital Volunteers, recipient of the DeTar service award and E.S.A. "Girl of the Year” free-lance writer, poet, crafter, antique collector, reader, outdoors woman and the list goes on.
Grace was committed to GOD and to church, giving her life to GOD when she was 14 at First Baptist Missionary Church of Conroe, TX, and finally being a part of Straight Path Church in her final days. Grace also had a heart for people, whether reading to the elderly in a nursing home or just being a friend to someone needing a friend. She was an example of the love of Christ and will be missed by all how knew her.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at County Line Cemetery, 140 Browns Rd. Willis, TX, 77378 at 10am on Monday, September 8, 2025.
