James “Bud” Cochran was born April 9, 1940 in Conroe, Texas and went to his heavenly home on October 13, 2018 in Tomball, Texas at the age of 78. Bud graduated from Reagan High School in Houston, Texas and attended the University of Houston. On February 15, 1963, Bud married the love of his life, Diane, in Houston, Texas. Bud was in management with JC Penny for 25 years and also worked for Sherwin Williams in management for another 22 years, which resulted in many long lasting friendships through both careers. Bud served his country in the US Air Force Reserves for 4 years. He enjoyed an occasional game of golf with his dear friend, Dan Moon and received many blessings while delivering for Meals on Wheels through his church. He was a great family man that enjoyed traveling with his family. His priorities in life were God and his family. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. Bud had a great sense of humor and was loved by all. He is survived by his best friend of 60 years and wife of 55 years, Diane Cochran of Huntsville, Texas; daughters, Elaine Evelyn Vickers and husband Matthew of Weimar, Texas and Heather L. Doyle and husband Ron of Austin, Texas; brother, Tom Cochran and wife Jan of Conroe, Texas; grandchildren, Tara Hanson, Regan Hanson, Ian Doyle and Aidan Doyle; great grandchild, Liam Hanson; sister in laws, Betty Railsback, Johnnie Sue Baxter and Molly Mathews and husband Kevin; nieces, Pennee Pate,Theresa Milazzo and Lauren Mathews; nephews; Chris and Craig Cochran, John Taylor, Joey Baxter and Austin Mathews; and several great nieces and great nephews. A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for Monday, October 22, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church in Huntsville, Texas, 1016 Sam Houston Ave, Huntsville, Texas 77320, at 2pm with Rev. Daniel Irving and Dan Moon officiating.
