

James Hagan, 90, of Montgomery, Texas passed away June 12, 2011. He was born on June 29, 1920 in Louisville, KY to Thomas D. and Mary C. Hagan. He was employed by Union Carbide Corp. for 39 years and was a member of St. Matthias Catholic Church. He was a veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict.
James will be missed by his family, friends and neighbors for his quiet spirit, friendly smile and generous heart. He loved traveling, working on his many craft projects and helping those in need.
James is survived by his wife of 70 years, Virginia; sons, James and wife Ann, Larry and wife Marilyn of Texas City, Pat of Montgomery and Paul and wife Nancy of Lahaina, Hawaii; daughters, Toni and friend Allen of Loveland, Colorado and Dorothy Wilkinson and husband Covy of Willis; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 23 great great grandchildren.Sisters: Betty Kelley of Louisville, Kentucky and Kathy Olsen of Bellmore, New York. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive. Pallbearers will be the sons of Mr. Hagan and grandsons, Patrick Hagan and Covy Wilkinson III.
On June 14, 2011, the family will receive visitors from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home with a Rosary being recited at 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 10 a.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel. Burial will be at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
