Jeraldine “Jerry” Wilmot, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at the age of 80 in Conroe, Texas. Although a failing, heart took her away from this world, her loving heart left a beacon of light for all who knew her.
She was born September 3, 1942 in Elko, Nevada, to Harvey “Jack” and Mary Rutherford. She graduated high school and married the love of her life, Ralph Wilmot on January 18, 1966 in Ohio. They moved to Texas in 1969 and settled in Pasadena, Texas. Jerry worked as an executive secretary for 38 years for a major oil equipment manufacturing company. After retiring, they moved to Conroe, Texas and spent time fishing every chance they got. Jerry also volunteered her time with Kairos Outside Houston, a prison ministry. She was passionate in her faith, kind and giving to family and friends – she knew no strangers and lived life with a giving heart.
Preceded in death by her parents and siblings, James Rutherford and Janice Baker, and her husband Ralph of 55 years, she is survived by her adoring daughter, Jackie Wilmot-Turner and husband, Tim of Conroe; loving son, Randall “Randy” Wilmot of Madisonville, Texas; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, November 4, 2022 from 1pm to 2pm at Cashner Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2pm also at Cashner Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Garden Park Cemetery adjacent to Cashner Funeral Home. 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas.
