Having been born into an Oil & Gas family, Jeremy got to experience life in several different special places thru the years. After Dallas, there were Houston, Bogota Colombia, Lafayette La, Corpus Christi Tx, Cypress Tx and finally the Lake Conroe area. He graduated CyFair High School as an honors student. There he excelled at Symphonic Bass Clarinet and starting Defensive Tackle on the Varsity Football Team. His Senior year, CyFair had the #1 Defense in the district. He studied both at both Lone Star and Texas Tech Universities.
Jeremy worked for a few years in Oil & Gas, sold Ford vehicles and settled into a solid career in Drinking Water & Wastewater operations; most recently employed by the San Jacinto River Authority. He was an avid fisherman enjoying many trips to the coastal jetties, an outdoors enthusiast and lover of good music. Enjoyed spending time on the family farm near Madisonville; but most of all he was constantly ready to join up with family/friends for something fun………ALWAYS went out of his way to help someone in need.
Jeremy is survived by his parents - Jim & Kathy Elder, brother - Jacob, niece - Elena Lyn Elder and her mother Alyx Runnels, best friend Evan Hancock (#3) and much loved dog Eli. Also surviving are Grandmothers Audrey Elder and Delores Elder (in Southern Illinois). There are Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends too numerous to mention here.
