Jerry W. Adams

Jerry Wayne Adams of Conroe, Texas, 73, passed away on Tuesday in the loving arms of his wife after a long battle with cancer. He was born on August 18, 1946 in Kilgore, Texas to James and Mable Adams. He joined the U.S. Army in 1966 and was a Vietnam veteran. After his service in the armed forces, he worked in the oil and gas industry from 1972 until his retirement in 2016.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Amy Adams; his daughter, Kristina McQuaid and son-in-law Declan McQuaid; his son, Dr. Clayton Adams and daughter-in-law Dr. Cacey Adams; and five grandchildren, Keira McQuaid, Luke Adams, Emma McQuaid, Charlie Adams, and Benjamin Adams. Also, he is survived by his brother James Adams and sister-in-law Janet Adams; his brother Norman Adams and sister-in-law Ann Adams; his sister Becky Caplinger and brother-in-law Jerry Caplinger; his sister Joyce Wilkins; and sister-in-law Janice Adams. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Charles Adams and Gene Adams; and his sisters, Martha Mogavero and Dora Bryant.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX, 77303. The funeral service will began at 10:00am on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at Cashner Funeral Home with the interment immediately following in Garden Park Cemetery.
